Shaffer Chimere Smith (Camden, Arkansas, 18 de Outubro de 1979), conhecido por Ne-Yo, é um cantor estadunidense de Pop/R&B.  

Seus maiores sucessos até o hoje foram as canções "So Sick", "Sexy Love", "Because of You, "Closer" e "Miss Independent". Além de cantar, ele dança, interpreta e compõe músicas para ele e para outros cantores como Beyoncé e Rihanna.

Para a Beyoncé ele compôs Irreplaceable sucesso nos EUA, mas de todas as músicas de Rihanna ele compôs mais da metade. Ne-Yo também compôs musicas para o cantor Usher que, como Beyoncé e Rihanna, faz grande sucesso nos Estados Unidos.

Para muitos que ouvem suas músicas há uma influência clara do cantor Michael Jackson, sobre isto Ne-Yo comentou que estará participando do novo álbum de Michael Jackson, assim como também nos de Whitney Houston e Britney Spears.
