Background: I hold a B.A. in Political Science from a small liberal arts school, Rockford University. After graduation, I worked in the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. before returning to graduate school to study English. I received my M.A. in English Language and Literature from Western Illinois University, where I also began my teaching career. At AG²¶Óã, I enjoy teaching courses in the Core, including academic writing, creative writing, and a course on music and literature. I am a creative writer and Jack Straw writer alum. Outside of academia, I have written and performed on a range of music projects.
